There were two blood drives last week in Bond County. The Pocahontas School hosted an American Red Cross blood drive Monday, March 19, in the school gym. Twenty-five people registered with 21 units collected. Patrick Densmore got a 14-gallon pin and Brandon Goodwin a 2-gallon pin.
The Greenville High School Student Council sponsored an American Red Cross Tuesday, March 20, for students and staff. Forty people registered with 28 units of whole blood and two units of red blood cells collected. Kyle Sunderland donated the two units of red blood cells and first-time donors Jordan Kirkman, Hunter Neer, Cheyenne McClain, Chloe Macon, Abby Sidwell, Nancy Fritzsche, Phillip Reeves, Jacob Miller, CJ Hanna, Breezy Parks, Brian Prater, Lucas Clayton, and Anastasia Baird received blood drop pins.
