Greenville University senior Nathan Potts, from St. Charles, MO, has been named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Track Athlete of the Week for the week of April 2.
Potts ran his way to a 1st finish in the 800-meter race at the WashU Invite recently and added a 4th place finish in the 4×400 relay.
Potts took first with a time of 1:53.98, the best time from the SLIAC this spring, and a career best. His time of 3:24.36 in the relay race was the team’s best this year by four-seconds and the second-fastest time in the conference this season.
Greenville University women’s track and field athlete Lia Kruse received an honorable mention from SLIAC after she put together a pair of career bests, competing in the 5K and 1500 meter race.
