Jocelyn Nesbit

Jocelyn Nesbit, age 77 of Greenville, passed away Wednesday evening, April 25, 2018 at Cedarhurst in Highland, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the First Christian Church with Tyson Graber and Darryl Bolen officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until service time on Sunday at the church. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church or Heartland Hospice thru Donnell – Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville or at the service.

Jocelyn Miller Nesbit, the daughter of Henry “Heinie” and Ruth Orlean Zimmermann Miller, was born December 31, 1940 in Hillsboro, Illinois. She was raised in Sorento, Illinois, attended the public schools and graduated from Greenville High School with the class of 1958.

Jocelyn and James Dale Nesbit were united in marriage on July 3, 1958 in Sorento, Illinois. They have enjoyed 59 years together. Jocelyn worked 40 plus years at the First Christian Church. She and Dale were faithful members of the church. Jocelyn was a member of the Ladies American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are their children: Elisa “Kim Wilson and husband Craig of Greenville, Illinois, Robin Lyn Reiss and husband Don of Highland, Illinois and Robert Dale Nesbit and wife Leisa of St. Jacob, Illinois. She was the loving grandmother of: Kelly Weary and husband Kurt, Christina Collins and husband Chris, Jonnie Lyn Kapp and husband Kyle, Trent Barringer and Bree Whitaker, Parker Dale Nesbit, Brandon Seger and Angel Hunt, Amanda Horstmann and husband Kyle, Kristen Roethemeier and husband Tim, James Zelasko and Shawn Barringer. Loving great-grandmother of 10. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Joyce Miller.

Preceded in death by her parents, brother Garry “Stretch” Miller and 2 grandchildren: Tiffany and Jordan.
