Comets Baseball Ends Regular Season

The Greenville Comets baseball team ended its regular season Saturday in the Ish Smith Classic.

GHS split two games. Nashville edged the Comets 7 to 6 and then Greenville defeated Flora 7 to 3.

In the Nashville game, Drew Frey posted four hits and Mason Johnson and Christian Moss had three hits and two RBIs apiece.

Against Flora, Moss tossed a complete game for the win.

The Comets turned a triple play in the second inning and Blake Doll had a big defensive game.

Offensively, Frey produced three hits and Jonathan Barnes totaled two hits and two RBIs.

The Comets ended the regular season with 13 wins, 17 losses and 1 tie.
