The Greenville Comets baseball team picked up a win Tuesday on Senior Day.
Greenville defeated Okawville 6 to 1.
After tying the game in the bottom of the first, the Comets took the lead with a two-run single from David Thompson.
GHS added three more runs in the fourth inning, on a Keaton Roadman double and hits by Drew Frey and Jonathan Barnes.
Trent Hlafka was the winning pitcher.
Seniors and their parents were honored before the game. The seven senior players are Lucas Carlson, Blake Doll, Trent Hlafka, Christian Moss, Keaton Roadman, David Thompson and T.J. Zobrist.
Monday, the baseball Comets went to Staunton to finish a game that had been started a few weeks ago, but was suspended.
Staunton won 7 to 6 in nine innings.
The Bulldogs completed a sweep of the South Central Conference with a 9 and 0 record.
Southwestern finished second at 8 and 1, Hillsboro was third at 6 and 3, and Greenville and Vandalia tied for fourth with records of 5 and 4.
