A Germantown man was killed in a single vehicle accident early Sunday morning.
Clinton County Coroner Phillip Moss told WGEL 35 year old Scott J. Albers of Germantown was traveling on Sycamore Street in Germantown and, for unknown reasons, struck a tree at the end of the road. A Germantown Police officer was less than a block away at the time of the crash, heard the collision, and responded immediately.
Albers was taken to HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese where he was pronounced deceased by Coroner Moss.
Police have not released the identity of a passenger in the vehicle, but confirmed the passenger was airlifted to a St. Louis hospital.
