The First National Bank has entered a three year partnership with Mulberry Grove High School to sponsor the annual Thanksgiving basketball tournament. Beginning this year, it will be known as The First National Bank Mulberry Grove Turkey Tournament.
Chad Nelson, MGHS Athletic Director, said, “We’re excited to partner with First National Bank for our annual Turkey Tournament. With the support of FNB, we feel we can insure the ultimate tournament experience for our student athletes, coaches, officials and fans.”
Running from November 19- 24, this year’s tourney will feature host Mulberry Grove, South Central, Patoka, St. Elmo/Brownstown, Mt. Olive, Ramsey, Father McGivney, and Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City. The tournament was launched in 2003.
Dianne Siebert, First National Bank Vice President and Mulberry Grove Branch Manager, commented, “The Turkey Tournament brings parents, grandparents and basketball fans to our little town and school. Hopefully they will see how proud the bank is to be part of the tournament.”
Along with a monetary commitment to the tournament, The First National Bank will provide goody bags to the participating teams, refreshments for the hospitality room, and popcorn bags for the concession stand.
FNB announced a similar sponsorship last year for Vandalia High School’s holiday tournament.
The First National Bank has locations in Mulberry Grove, Vandalia, Ramsey, Patoka, and Greenville.
