GU Softball In National Tournament

The Greenville University softball team participated in the NCAA Division 3 Regional at Holland, Michigan over the weekend.

The Lady Panthers were eliminated in two games. Thursday, they lost to the host school, Hope College, 8 to 0. Josie Koontz had G.U.’s only hit.

Rain cancelled all games scheduled for Friday.

Greenville faced Franklin on Saturday and lost 10 to 0.

The Lady Panther’s three hits were by the Mulberry Grove High School senior connection. Koontz and Becca Oldham recorded singles and Kate Jolliff Rosado ripped a double.

Greenville qualified for the regional by winning the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament championship. The Lady Panthers ended the season 21-17.
