Humane Society Move Complete

All of the Bond County Humane services are now available at the one location.

After housing cats at the former Bond County Highway Department Building, cats and dogs are now kept at a new building located on South Elm Street in Greenville, just north of Interstate 70.

Humane Society President Rachel Hundsdorfer said the move was very recent, happening on May 11 and 12. The dog and cat shelter are now attached.

Statistics from last year show that the humane society has been very successful in finding homes for cats and dogs. Hundsdorfer said in 2017, 199 of 208 animals brought in were adopted.

The society appreciates their volunteers, but Hundsdorfer says they still need more. They also need foster homes for animals.
