The Greenville Bluejays had several conference champions at the Junior Mid-State Conference meet in Pana Tuesday.
They included Lilly Prater in the girls 8th grade 100 meter dash, Mia Emken in the girls 8th grade long jump, and the seventh and eighth grade girls’ 400 meter relay squads.
The seventh grade relay team included Kelsie Hemann, Ainsley Olson, Charlee Stearns, and Sydnee Godier. In the eighth grade group were Nicole Blumer, Mia Emken, Lilly Prater, and Brooklyn Suzuki.
In the boys’ competition, Sam Wagner placed first in the seventh grade shot put, Dima Powell won the eighth grade mile run, and Quinton Cain won the eighth grade 100 meter hurdles.
The seventh grade 400 meter relay crew of Josh Smith, Grant Wilderman, Easton Maroon and Landon Moss finished first.
The eighth grade boys’ teams won the 400 and 800 meter relays.
Running in the 400 relay were Ziek Bell, Jaylon Betts, Jaydon Maples and Quinton Cain. The 800 relay team included Jake Mock, Jack Schaufelberger, Ashton Gaffner and Haiden Graham.
The junior high track team consists of students from Pocahontas, Sorento and Greenville.
