Lady Aces Softball Headed To Regionals

The Mulberry Grove High School softball team is the best in their conference.

The Lady Aces won the regular season Egyptian-Illini Conference title and grabbed the conference tournament championship Saturday with three wins.

Head Coach Misty Mezo said she has a talented team, which won 10 of its first 15 games.

She said she is proud of the E-I titles.

Makayla Dothager was named conference most valuable player.

On the all-conference team from Mulberry Grove were Alyssa Dothager, Delainey Enloe and Kim Bone, while Anjellika Hopkins was honorable mention.

Coach Mezo believes her team is ready for the regional next week.

Mulberry Grove plays Valmeyer Wednesday (May 16) at 4:30 p.m. at Okawville in the semifinals.
