Listening Area Wakes Up To Storms

The WGEL listening area had an eventful start to the day Sunday with a severe thunderstorm warning from the National Weather Service. The warning area included portions of Madison, Bond, Montgomery, and Fayette Counties. It only lasted about a half-hour, but managed to drop a lot of rain in that time. WGEL received reports of 1 to 1.5 inches of rain from the Mulberry Grove and Smithboro areas. There were no reports of damage according to area law enforcement agencies.

Anytime severe weather strikes, be sure to be listening to WGEL 101.7 FM for up-to-date information from the National Weather Service.
