Carlyle Lake Fireworks Spectacular

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Carlyle Lake is preparing for a fun and safe Independence Day celebration. On Saturday, 30 June, Carlyle Lake will celebrate the 4th of July with the Fireworks Spectacular. This fun-filled, family-friendly event begins at 12:00 p.m. in the Dam West Recreation Area. All activities are free of charge and open to the public.

The Fireworks Spectacular kicks off with a sandcastle building contest. Registration for the contest begins at 12:00 p.m. at the water safety tent located on the south side of Dam West Beach. Sandcastle contest participants may begin building as soon as they are registered. Water safety games and activities will start at 12:30 p.m. You won’t want to miss your chance at winning a prize playing these fun and educational activities.

The Carlyle Lake Dam Jam can be heard from Picnic Shelter 2 in the Dam West Day Use Area beginning at 12:30 p.m. Bands scheduled to perform include:

12:30 p.m. The Jumpstarts
2:00 p.m. Simple Therapy
3:30 p.m. Reckless Intent
5:00 p.m. Selective Memory
6:30 p.m. Stump Water Shine
8:00 p.m. Double Shot

The event wraps up with fireworks shot off from Point 1 at dusk. Point 1 is located directly across from the Dam West Boat Ramp. Viewing of the fireworks can best be seen from the top of the Dam, Dam West Day Use Area, Dam East Recreation Area or from the water.

The Carlyle Lake Fireworks Spectacular is hosted by the Carlyle Lake Fireworks Committee and is made possible by funds raised by the Haunted Trail, donations from local corporate sponsors, and donations collected the evening of the fireworks. Members of the committee will be stationed at the entrances to the Dam West and Dam East Recreation Areas to collect donations.
