The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Carlyle Lake is preparing for a fun and safe weekend. Whether you enjoy fishing, camping, boating, bike riding or other outdoor activities, Carlyle Lake offers an abundance of recreational opportunities. While participating in water related recreational activities, always wear your life jacket. Over two-thirds of people who drown never had any intention of being in the water.
Saturday, June 30th is the annual Fireworks Spectacular! Festivities including a sand castle building contest and water safety activities will take place in the Dam West Recreation Area starting at 12:00 p.m. Live bands will begin playing at 12:30 p.m. Fireworks will be shot off at point one and will begin at dusk. Viewing of the fireworks can best be seen from the top of the Dam, Dam West Day Use Area, Dam East Recreation Area or from the water.
