As was the plan when he was named interim president, George Evans was approved last week as the 11th president of Kaskaskia College at a special meeting of the K.C. Board.
Evans has signed a three-year contract as president.
He was appointed interim president at the end of November after Dr. Penny Quinn resigned. Her contract ends June 30.
Evans was Dean of Career and Technical Education for seven years at Kaskaskia College.
He is the first K.C. president to have a degree from there.
In May, Evans was named the Kaskaskia College Full-Time Staff Member of the Year.
He and his family reside in Albers.
