Fair Queen Candidates Prepare For Pageant

Rehearsals are underway for the candidates wanting to be the next Miss Bond County Fair and Junior Miss Bond County Fair.

Brooke Earnest, queen pageant director, told WGEL the eight young women who will be in the queen contest are Caitlynn Elliott, Katie Dugan, Dalainey Enloe, Alyssa Dothager, Anna Brown, Denise Roy, Destiny Ulmer, and Kallie Gan.

Jenna Koonce, the current queen, and Gracie Lindley, the current Junior Miss, will retire their crowns in August. Earnest said Koonce and Lindley have done a great job this year and been very involved in the community.

Caitlynn Elliott is from Sorento, Katie Dugan, Dalainey Enloe and Alyssa Dothager from Mulberry Grove, and Anna Brown, Denise Roy, Destiny Ulmer and Kallie Gan from Greenville.

Junior Miss contestants are Madalyn Carter, Dakota Kruep. Emma Haller, Megan Miller, Jaclyn Robertson, Allie Stewart, Jillian Elam, Cortney Stewart, Laia Klein, and Peyton Simpson.

This year is the 70th anniversary of the Bond County Fair. Past fair queens are being invited to attend the August 6 queen pageant. They are asked to contact Director Brooke Earnest by e-mail at bcqueenpageant@yahoo.com.
