Floyd Leland Post

Floyd Leland Post, age 71 of Greenville, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018 at HSHS Holy Family Hospital in Greenville.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Donnell – Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville. Funeral services will be held with interment on Friday in Danvers, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Patriot Guard Riders.

Floyd Leland, the son of John Post and Erma (Lukin) Post, was born September 29, 1946 in Lincoln, Illinois. Floyd was raised in Danvers, Illinois where he attended the public schools and graduated high school. He served our country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged. Floyd went to work for the coal mine in Coffeen for a few years. He then worked for Granite City Steel Mill for 17 years, retiring in 2013.

Floyd and Brenda Katherine Rutledge were united in marriage on February 21, 1976 in Danvers, Illinois. Surviving are their children: Micheal P. Boulware of Greenville, Mindy J. Rutledge and Damon of Greenville and Bethannie L. Weiss and Christopher of Greenville. He was the loving grandfather of : Darby, Derek, Jeron, Clay, Kyler, Regan, Cody, Jaxon, Caleb, Abbie, Laurel and Julien. He is also survived by siblings: Faye, Marlene, Dawn, Cheryl, Jerry and Eric.
