The Illinois AMVETS State Convention was held recently and as part of the proceedings, Tony Koonce, of Greenville, was honored by being presented the 2017/2018 Illinois State Outstanding AMVET of the Year Award. The award was presented by Department of Illinois State Commander Dave Hicks.
Koonce was nominated for the award by local AMVETS Post 140 Commander Lynn Craig and was chosen to receive the honor from approximately 9,000 members throughout the state.
