Mulberry Grove Village Board Gets Casey’s Update

Amy O’Dell, a Casey’s area representative, attended the Monday meeting of the Mulberry Grove Village Board and updated board members concerning the new Casey’s Store. O’Dell said construction is ahead of schedule. Tanks are set, inside work is progressing well, and concrete should be poured soon. The projected opening date is Friday, August 24, with a VIP day Thursday, August 23. Casey’s is currently taking applications for a variety of positions.

There are new faces in the Mulberry Grove Village Hall. Vickie Koertge is the new full-time village clerk and Mary Stewart works part-time in the office. They were hired effective May 1.

Representatives of Core & Main, a company that produces and installs water meters, presented information about the types of meters they offer, costs, and operation of new meters. The board is planning to replace water lines and meters and grant applications are ongoing to get funds for the project.
