Pool Improvements Well Received

With the addition of a splash pad, the swimming season has gotten off to a great start at the Kingsbury Park District swimming pool.

Park District Director Jerry Sauerwein said the new attraction has led to increased attendance. He said everyone appeared to be having fun and there were more families in attendance thanks to the splash pad.

The splash pad is west of the large pool.

Improvements were made to the baby pool and main pool, a new building was constructed for the lifeguards and concessions, and improvements were made to the dressing areas with the addition of a family changing room.

Sauerwein said work is still planned on the parking lot and a new vinyl fence has given the facility a new look.
