Bond County Unit 2 has a list of summer maintenance projects to be done at district attendance centers.
Superintendent Wes Olson said some of the work is annual while other projects are based on health life safety issues that have been identified and need to be addressed.
The total estimated cost for all of the work is $246,465. The Pocahontas estimate is $101,500; the high school nearly $66,000; Greenville Elementary School $27,750; Sorento School almost $38,000; and Greenville Junior High $8,450. Athletic requests total almost $5,000.
Projects at the high school include controller replacement for the heating/air conditioning system, hallway door magnets, sealing the gym floor, kitchen shelves, painting, and gym roof repairs.
At Greenville Junior High, the list includes work to the heating/air conditioning system, window repair or replacement, drywall and door repairs, and painting.
At Greenville Elementary School, projects include addressing the damper motors to the heating/air conditioning system, exit and emergency lights, exhaust fans, partitions, painting, baseboard work, plumbing and wall repairs, pod cabinet replacement, and oven replacement.
At Sorento, there will be cooler/warmer repairs, exit/emergency lights, mixer electric repair, gym floor sealing, pod doors, tuck pointing, and painting.
The Pocahontas list includes duct work and exhaust fan repairs, electrical outlet work, exit/emergency lights, roof repair/replacement, pod doors, sealing the gym floor and painting.
