The new Illinois budget for fiscal year 2019 has been approved by the legislature and signed by the governor.
That’s good news for school districts, according to Bond County Unit 2 Superintendent Wes Olson. Unit 2 will receive more state funds next year through the new funding formula approved in 2017.
Olson said it’s good for the budget to be passed before the district’s new fiscal year begins July 1.
The Unit 2 superintendent said he is waiting for the projections about how much in state funding to expect.
Olson expressed his appreciation of Representative John Cavaletto for voting for school funding.
