The Bond County Fourth Fest will kick off with a Local Superheroes Parade at 1:30 PM Saturday. The parade is designed to celebrate local veterans and first responders.
Tony Koonce is organizing a portion of the parade and he extends an invitation to all local vets to be involved…specifically those with limited mobility.
He said he has secured the people hauler from the American Farm Heritage Museum and Anthony Supply has offered the use of a fork lift and platform to lift veterans onto the people hauler. This way those with limited mobility don’t have to worry about climbing the steps onto the hauler.

Koonce said limited mobility should not prevent any veteran from being recognized in the parade who would like to participate. For information, call Tony Koonce at 664-1976.
