Former Greenville Comet golfer Gauge Brauns shot a 69 at the Red Tail Run Golf Course in Decatur to qualify for the Illinois Open in August.
Six armatures and 2 professionals qualified Wednesday at Decatur.
Brauns’ 69 Wednesday was a tie for 3rd place.
The Illinois Open is scheduled for Chicago August 6th to the 8th.
