Kenneth J. “Kenny” Woltering, age 58, of Beaver Prairie, died Friday, August 24, 2018 in E. St. Louis.
Mr. Woltering was born January 28, 1960 in Breese, a son of Catherine “Babe”, nee Lappe, and the late Theodore “Ted” Woltering.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph and Henrietta, nee Niemeyer, Eilers; and sister-in-law, Diane Eilers.
Surviving are his mother, Catherine “Babe” Woltering of Carlyle; wife Joyce, nee Eilers, Woltering of Beaver Prairie, whom he married October 18, 1986 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese; children, Heather (Zach) Goebel of Bossier City, LA and Russell (special friend Morgan Albers) Woltering of Glen Carbon; grandson, Wyatt Goebel; siblings, Dianne (Herbert ) Ripperda of Belleville, Donna (David) Buehler of Carlyle, Darlene (Don) Winter of Ashley, and Debbie (fiancé Chuck Glasscock) Ritter of Carlyle; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Paul (Kathleen) Eilers of Trenton, Linda (Kevin) Rademacher of O’Fallon, Barb (Jim) Foote of Belleville, Dale (Vicky) Eilers of Beckemeyer, and Karen (fiancé Scott Bennett) Eilers of Breese; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kenny worked as a painter for over 30 years at Wastequip, Inc. in E. St. Louis. He enjoyed deer hunting, camping, floating, stock car racing, playing football in his younger years, but most of all spending time with his grandson.
Funeral Service will be Friday, August 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Felicitas Church in Beaver Prairie with Deacon Charles Litteken officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Breese and again on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at St. Felicitas Church in Beaver Prairie.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to the family’s wishes or to the Alzheimer’s Association and will be received at the funeral home and church
