Cheryl A. Unterreiner, age 62 of Highland, IL, died Friday, September 28, 2018, at Saint Elizabeth Hospital in O Fallon, IL.

She was born on Friday, October 28, 1955, in Saint Louis, MO, the daughter of James and Billie (nee Davenport) Walsh.

On Friday, July 26, 1991, she married Kimberly J. Unterreiner at Riverview Gardens, MO, who survives.

She was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL.

Born and raised in North St. Louis; graduated from Riverview Gardens High School, Riverview Gardens, MO. Thirty years ago moved to Alhambra, IL, for eight years and then to Highland. She worked for the Riverview Gardens School District as a cook for 20 years and St. Paul Catholic School, Highland, as a cook for 4 to 5 years. She loved to garden; going to antique shows, Her grandsons were always first. She chaired the the kitchen at the Kirchenfest Chicken Dinner for many years until her stroke ten years ago.

Sister – Karen L. (Tom) Fuller, Highland, IL
Step Sister – Sally Anne (Bill) Schneider, Pittsburgh, PA.

She was preceded in death by:
Father – James Richard Walsh
Mother – Billie Joyce Harvey, nee Davenport – Died 1/26/2014
1st Husband – John Ray Bursey-(married 1974-Granite City,IL) (Died 1986)
Step Father – James Harrison Harvey – Died 2/21/2018.

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at the Highland City Cemetery, Highland, IL

Interment will be at Highland City Cemetery in Highland, IL.

Memorial contributions may be made to Highland Animal Shelter.
