Leitschuh Elected To First Four-Year Term

After serving as Bond County sheriff since February 1, Jim Leitschuh was elected to his first four-year term in Tuesday’s election.

He said he was very excited when he realized he won. He said the support he’s received is humbling.

Leitschuh hopes the support of Bond County citizens continues and he believes the sheriff’s department has a very good staff.

A Bond County native, Leitschuh began his law enforcement career at the sheriff’s department in 1997. He served as chief deputy for Sheriff Jeff Brown before being appointed sheriff earlier this year.
