The Greenville Comets are 1-1 in the Pinckneyville Tournament with two games to play today.
After beating Union County, Kentucky in their first game Thursday, the Comets lost Friday afternoon to Olney 45-31.
GHS trailed 14-12 after one quarter, but scored only one point in the second period. Still, the Comets trailed just by 9 at halftime. They crept to within 2 points in the third quarter, but could never catch Olney, scoring just 5 in the fourth frame.
Chad Stearns was leading scorer with 13 points.
The Comets play Benton at noon today at Pinckneyville.
If the win, they will play at 5 p.m. for 5th place and if they lose, they have an 8 p.m. game for 7th place.
