The Greenville Comets basketball cheerleaders were the best squad in the Illinois Cheerleading Coaches Association Invitational at Highland Saturday.
The Comets finished first out of nine teams.
With a second place finish at Mt. Vernon last week and the first place at Highland, the Greenville High School crew has qualified for the ICCA state championships to be held the first weekend of January.
