David L. Wasson, age 84 of Highland, IL, died Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Saint Elizabeth Hospital in O’Fallon, IL.
He was born August 03, 1934, in Fulton, MO, the son of Frank and Louise (nee Rose) Wasson.
On June 01, 1973, he married Linda L. Hancock at Granite City, IL, who survives in rural Highland, IL.
He was a member of Apostolic Revival Church. He was also a member of Various Bowling Leagues in the area.
David L. Wasson, age 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in O’Fallon, IL. He was born Aug. 3rd, 1934 in Fulton, MO to Frank and Louise (Rose) Wasson. He is survived by his wife Linda, and his kids Nancy, Marie, Shawn, Tammy, Mark, Rick, and Crystal. David served with the US Army from 1957 to 1959. He worked as a drafting engineer at Duke Manufacturing for 15 years, designing custom cafeteria equipment. He could make anyone laugh with his silly jokes and was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His hobbies included antique cars, motorcycles, bowling, painting, drawing, making unique works of art and spending time with family. He enjoyed going to thrift stores and the auction to buy little things that made him happy because he saw the beauty and value of everything. He will be missed very dearly by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
Funeral Service will be at 3:30 PM on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, with Rev. Frank Crossin officiating.
Interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 12:30 PM.
