Lady Comets Headed To Tourney Title Game

The Greenville Lady Comets are in the championship game of the Lebanon Holiday Tournament. They will battle Columbia at 8 tonight.

In the semifinals Friday night, the Lady Comets never trailed and defeated Lebanon 52-34.

The Greenville defensive press was effective in the first half, leading to many Lebanon turnovers. GHS led by 10 at halftime and 11 after three quarters.

The Lady Comets were led offensively by Megan Hallemann with 24 points. She scored 12 in the fourth quarter. Nancy Fritzsche had 12 points in the game and Ally Cantrill posted 11.

The GHS girls are 14-1 for the season. Tonight’s championship game will be broadcast on WGEL and streamed at WGEL.com.
