After winning their first four baseball games of the season, the varsity Greenville Comets dropped two at home Saturday.
Teutopolis beat the Comets 5-1. Hunter Gray accounted for the Comets’ only run with a second inning home run over the left field fence.
Pitching for GHS were Brock Nelson and Jonathan Barnes.
In the second game, Columbia rolled past the Comets 13-2.
Greenville runs were scored on a first inning sacrifice fly by Logan Doll and a RBI double off the bat of Nelson in the third inning. Gray had the only other hit for the Comets. Pitchers were Kyle Tipsword and Mason Johnson.
The Comets host Breese Central Wednesday afternoon.
