Adesanya Retires After 45 Years With USPS

A familiar face at the Greenville Post Office is no longer greeting customers at the front counter.

Joyce Adesanya has retired as a United State Postal Service employee after 45 years. Tuesday was her final day on the job.

Joyce started her career in Dallas, TX, and transferred to Bethalto, IL in 1994. She came to the Greenville office in 1996. She said it’s been great and she’s seen a lot of changes. She’s grateful for the customers and community and extended a special thanks to her children’s teachers.

Greenville Postmaster Lisa Mena said Joyce has been valuable to the local post office. She said Joyce definitely has a fan base.
