Evelyn B. Voss, age 94 of Highland, IL, died Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Cedarhurst of Highland.

She was born on December 13, 1924, in Millersburg, IL, the daughter of Henry and Matilda (nee Gobberdiel) Hagler.

On February 09, 1946, she married Vernell G. “Bill” Voss at Millersburg, IL. He passed away on October 14, 2003.

She was a member of Highland Southern Baptist Church.

Evelyn was born in Millersburg and graduated from Pocahontas High School in 1942. She worked at the Highland Embroidery Works and the Art Textile prior to her marriage. After she was married, she stayed at home and raised her family. She later worked for the Highland School District in the Cafeteria. She moved to Faith Countryside Apartments in January 2005. Evelyn was a very active member of highland Southern Baptist Church. She enjoyed volunteering her time with Meals on Wheels and for the Highland Food Pantry.

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at Highland Southern Baptist Church in Highland, IL .

Funeral Service will be at 11:30 AM on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at Highland Southern Baptist Church in Highland, IL, with Rev. Billy Blackmon officiating.

Interment will be at Highland City Cemetery in Highland, IL.

Memorial contributions may be made to Highland Southern Baptist Church or Meals on Wheels.
