The combined junior high track teams from Greenville, Pocahontas and Sorento competed in five-team meets at Vandalia recently.
Both boys’ teams finished second while the 8th grade girls were third and the7th grade girls fourth.
For the 7th grade boys, Lucas Field won the 800 meter run.Josh Smith finished first in the 8th grade boys high jump.
Shayna Hendersonwas a two-time winner in the 7th grade girls meet, placing first in the 100 meter dash and long jump. The best finish for the 8th grade girls was Ellan Miller, who placed9 second in the mile run.
