The Vandalia Bicentennial Board of Directors met recently and announced the schedule of events for the 200th celebration scheduled for June 13 – 16.
There will be a free community concert Saturday, June 15, on the First National Bank parking lot at the corner of 4th and Johnston Streets.
Other events include a movie night on the statehouse lawn, a parade, historical home tours, plays in Rogier Park, live music by local musicians, a Civil War re-enactment in Sonneman Park, and the annual Grande Levee.
Sunday, June 16, there will be a community church service, community picnic, and time capsule event at the statehouse.
