The Greenville Chamber of Commerce hosted its first State of The City program Tuesday morning in the Bradford Community Room.
Guest speaker was Jes Adam, Greenville’s first full-time tourism director.
Adam, a former city councilman, took over the tourism job March 5.
He told those at Tuesday’s program his viewpoint about tourism here. He said tourism is really important for every community, but especially for Greenville, and he said we have a ways to go to really take advantage of what we have to offer. He said that will require some reflection to determine who we are. He said this is a diverse community, which lends itself to future tourism efforts.
