The Greenville Comets’ baseball team reached the 20-win mark with 5-4 home victory over Pleasant Plains Tuesday afternoon.
Mason Johnson singled in the sixth to drive in the winning run. Logan Doll had a two-run homer in the game.
Freshman Mason Barnes earned the pitching win as he tossed four excellent innings in relief.
The Comets enter their own Class 2A regional this week with a 20-8 record. They are scheduled to play Hillsboro at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
