The DeMoulin Museum in Greenville was on the History Channel Monday night.
On the program “Pawn Stars,” John Shaw, a magician in Las Vegas, brought in a working DeMoulin’s branding iron. It was tested on one of the show’s hosts, Chumley.
During the segment, the history of the Demoulin factory and the museum were mentioned and shown on the screen.
Museum Curator John Goldsmith said the segment was a complete surprise to him.
WGEL talked to John Shaw, who said he and a few other Las Vegas magicians, are collectors of old DeMoulin initiation devices.
He was asked how he ended up on “Pawn Stars.”
Shaw said in the next few weeks the “Pawn Stars” segment will air in over 80 countries. He is hoping to visit the DeMoulin Museum this year.
