Glow Run To Benefit Fourth Fest

The Bond County Fourth Fest is sponsoring a 5K Glow Run Friday evening in Greenville.

Crystal Grove is coordinator for the event and said the event will be Friday, May 10 at 8 PM, starting on the northeast corner of the Greenville square. Medals will be given to winners in each category and there will be a trophy for the overall male and female finishers. Proceeds benefit the Bond County Fourth Fest.

Crystal told us what a glow run is a 5K that happens at night. Runners are all decorated with glow paint and items like glow bracelets. There are black lights at the start and finish.

Anyone still wanting to run can show up before the run Friday, according to Crystal. You can sign up at the race for $30. 80 runners have signed up so far.

Fourth Fest is Saturday, July 6 in downtown Greenville, and will feature music from noon to midnight, a carnival, food and drinks, and fireworks.
