Health Department Enters Consulting Agreement


It was reported that for the month of April, the health department realized a gain of $105,502.35 due to increased revenue in several programs with expenses holding steady.

The board considered a potential 6-month consulting agreement with Schuyler County Health Department wherein Bond County Health Department Administrator Sean Eifert would spend time onsite in Schuyler County, providing administrative oversight as the agency moves toward merger with another Schuyler County agency. The board voted unanimously to enter into such an agreement. The terms and conditions outlined by Bond now move to Schuyler for consideration.

In other business, the health department has received just over $6,000 in grant funding to address the measles outbreak. With these funds, Bond County Health Department will hold two evening immunization clinics and provide free MMR vaccines to those at risk on May 29 and June 12 from 4:30-6:30 pm.
