The Junior Midstate Conference track meet was held recently at Vandalia. The Greenville boys’ teams finished third out of five squads. Both girls’ teams were fifth.
Individually, in eighth grade boys competition, finishing second were Judah Liss in the 800 and mile runs, Sam Wagner in the shot put and Wes Stoecklin in the long jump.
The 400 meter relay team of Josh Smith, Easton Maroon, Stoecklin and Grant Wilderman placed second.
Blue Jays finishing second in the seventh grade meet were Christian Lawrence in the hurdles and Dillon Cunningham in the shot put. Trent Zeeb, Nick Grull, Hayden Hibbs and Lawrence ran the 400 relay and placed second.
In eighth grade girls’ competition, Ainsley Olson was runner-up in the 200 meter dash, and the mile relay crew of Olson, Charlee Stearns, Sydnee Godier and Ellyn Miller placed second.
