Margie Lynn Kik, age 76 of Highland, IL, died Wednesday, May 08, 2019, at Highland Health Care Center in Highland, IL.
She was born on Sunday, March 14, 1943, in Tacoma, WA, the daughter of Harvey and Virgie (nee Freestone) McCumber.
On Friday, November 06, 1964, she married Earl F. “Bud” Kik at Seattle, WA, who passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2008.
She was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
She was born in Tacoma, WA; raised in Seattle, WA and graduated from West Seattle High School. She worked as a bookkeeper and after marriage was a homemaker. She was very involved in her children’s activities as in PTO (past president), Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. She worked on election days as helping in the polls and was involved with the Friends of the Library at Ocean Shores, WA. She lived most of her life at Seattle and Ocean Shores, WA. She moved to Highland, IL, on October of 2018, to be closer to her family.

Grandchild – David Cummings
Great Grandchild – Kyle Horton, New Baden, IL.
She was preceded in death by:

Mother – Virgie Ellen McCumber (nee Freestone)
Husband – Earl F. “Bud” Kik – Died 10/30/2008
Daughter – Edna P. Kik.
Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
Services will be at a later date.
