Odorizzi Named Player of Week


Former Highland High School star baseball player, Jake Odorizzi has been named the American League Player of the Week for April 29 through May5.

The Minnesota Twins pitcher earned two wins, beating Houston and the New York Yankees. He combined to strike out 15 batters in 13 innings, giving up a total of 6 hits.

Odorizzi is in his 8th season as a major league pitcher, and the second with Minnesota.

He is 4-2 this season with a 2.78 earned run average.
