A Class 2A Regional baseball tournament is being held in Greenville May 15, 16 and 18.
The Comets play a semifinal game at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16 against Hillsboro. The winner will advance to the championship game at the GHS field Saturday, May 18 at 11 a.m.
The regional lead-in game is Monday, May 13 with Litchfield at Vandalia. The winner plays Teutopolis at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 15 in the semifinals. That game will be at Greenville.
In softball, the Lady Comets are assigned to the Carlyle Regional. They play the lead-in game at 4:30 p.m. Monday, May 13 at Belleville Althoff.
A win by the Lady Comets will put them in a semifinal contest against Breese Mater Dei at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 14. The second game is Carlyle against Trenton Wesclin.
Both semifinal games are at Carlyle, in addition to the championship contest at 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 17.
