Rt. 127 In Bond County Slated For Pavement Repair

According to the Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois Rt. 127, from the Montgomery County line to Rt. 140, will be intermittently restricted to one lane beginning Thursday, May 16, weather permitting.

Work will be from 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. daily to complete pavement repairs and should be done by the end of June.

Motorists should expect delays and allow extra drive time through this area. Traffic in each direction will be controlled using flaggers. Drivers are urged to watch for changed conditions and signs, obey posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices, and be alert for workers and equipment.
