Three individuals who were allegedly involved in a reported child abduction are now facing charges in Bond County Circuit Court.
Joseph L. Daniels, age 36, of Highland, Ashly N. Buatte, age 32, of Greenville, and Savannah M. Long, age 19, of Mulberry Grove, were arrested on April 30.


The charges allege that Daniels, the father of the infant victim, removed the newborn from the victim’s mother without consent. He has been charged with alleged Child Abduction, a Class 4 felony.
Buatte and Long are each facing charges of alleged aiding or abetting child abduction, also a Class 4 felony. The charges allege the pair aided Daniels in abducting the victim.
Long appeared in Bond County Court on May 6. She has posted bond and is expected back in court May 31 for a preliminary hearing . Court dates have been set for Daniels on May 8 and Buatte on May 29.
