The Greenville Comets have an all-state baseball player.
Drew Frey, the Comets’ shortstop, was honored by the Illinois Baseball Coaches Association as an all-state Class 2A player.
Frey recently completed his career for the Comets.
Head Coach Todd Hutchinson said Frey was very deserving of the recognition. Hutchinson praised Frey’s leadership and performance.

Frey hit .480 his senior season and led the team in quality at bats, run production, on base percentage and on-base/slugging percentage.
Drew is the son of Aimee and Brant Frey of Pocahontas.
The Comets ended the recent season with a 21-9 record and were undefeated in the South Central Conference.
