GHS Cheerleaders At NCA Skills Camp

The Greenville High School basketball cheerleading members performed well at a recent National Cheerleaders Association skills camp held at O’Fallon.

Approximately 15 schools were there.

Coach Amanda Goldsboro said Abby Wall received the Top Gun Tumbler and Top All-American awards as the best overall tumbler and cheerleader at the camp.

The Comets’ squad won the Top Gun Stunt Group honor. Members were Wall, Kaylan Lile, Trista Kinkel and Neveah Haas.

Five GHS cheerleaders were selected as All-Americans including Lily Prater, Wall, Elena Valentin, Alli Suess, and Kyley Sugg.

The Pin-It Forward Award was selected by instructors and team representatives, and given to those displaying sportsmanship, enthusiasm, hard work and the willingness to help others.

Comet cheerleaders getting the honor were Suess, Sugg, Wall and Emma Ketten.

Coach Goldsboro was proud of her cheerleaders for their outstanding efforts at the camp.
