Harnetiaux Honored With Turley Award

Lester Harnetiaux's family accepts the Gerald Turley Memorial Award

Lester Harnetiaux was honored Thursday as the 26th recipient of the Greenville Chamber of Commerce Gerald Turley Memorial Award.

Lester passed away February 18, 2015 at the age of 57 and is the first Turley Award winner to be selected posthumously. He was the owner of Bond County Realtors and Tri-County Appraisal.

Speaking about Lester during the program were friends and co-workers John Goldsmith, Margie Wall, Jane LeBegue, Jill Bailey, Dennis Potthast, Kevin Kaegy and Crystal Grove.

Noel Harnetiaux spoke on behalf of the family, noting that Lester gave freely of himself to the community. He volunteered in and/or donated to many local fundraisers, was a big supporter of the Greenville Comets, and was a brilliant businessman.
